About Us...
Pain Management Systems (NZ) Ltd has been in business in Christchurch, New
Zealand since 1994 initially assembling and importing Sonoid massage products
from the United States for the New Zealand market. Our Director, Colin Feneck,
has more than 25 years experience with both Niagara and Sonoid massage products
starting as a salesman and learning all about this type of equipment and what it
can do to help people, going on to be a Manager and later to open his own
Company.
Whilst the Sonoid equipment was good we knew it could be much better both in
terms of reliability and therapeutic value and in 2003 our new motor system, the
ArapalŪ AMT was finalised. Many new innovations were discovered during its
development which has resulted in a patent being granted in New Zealand with
world wide patent pending.
In 2005 medical testing for increase in circulation was undertaken by the
Department of Human Performance at Otago University with excellent results.
Further testing for use with spinal injury is anticipated for 2006 as part of a
research programme into Vibrational Therapy. Other papers written by medical
professionals include: Cerebral Palsy & Spinal Injury both written by Ms Cindy
Evans Med BPE who has also developed a programme called PACT (Passive Active
Conditioning Therapy) an innovative therapy developed for those with Cerebral
Palsy. Please contact us if you would like to know more about this. Another
paper has been written for The Treatment of Chronic Arthritis, which we are
awaiting permission to use on this website.
Whilst our products can and are used by some medical professionals they are
primarily designed to be used by ordinary people in their own homes, our
experience has shown that many pain and mobility problems can be reduced or
improved including: Arthritis, Sciatica, Frozen Shoulder, Joint Stiffness,
Stroke damage, Breathing Difficulties due to Asthma or Emphysema, Poor
Circulation due to Diabetes, Hypertension, Stress, Sports Injuries and the list
goes on.
Simple
to use and giving you complete control of your own therapy gives you a feeling
of empowerment – that you can take control of your own treatment.
Medical Researchers are now discovering what we have seen for many years; that
some vibrations are beneficial to the health and well being of the human body,
this is just the tip of the iceberg and we are at the cutting edge of a ‘newly
discovered’ 50 year old Therapy.
